Vintage 1950s 1960s Marie D’Or Boutique Skirt Suit with Unique Circle Pockets

Blazer: Adorable split circle pockets with tiny light blue stitching accents Lined Padding on shoulders that’s built-in Skirt: Part lining Metal side zip w/2 hooks on waist One side seam pocket on right side Some hand stitching evident, sleeve lining looks like hand stitched to attach to body of blazer. Previous owner’s daughter said it was “raw silk”, I don’t know, it could be a blend with some linen or light weight wool. Blazer is in very good vintage condition. I don’t notice any stains/damage to lining or exterior. Suit might smell a bit musty. I’ve been airing both pieces out and don’t smell it now, but after being boxed for shipping, it may smell when you take it out of the packaging. Skirt is usable as is, but has been altered. Original owner let it out on the left side to make it about 1” larger, my guess is that waist was adjusted to be 2” larger. Waistband is really stiff, almost as if thin piece of cardboard in it. Zipper shows when worn unless you keep blazer on; but if you take the blazer off, it will show. Measurements taken with garments lying flat, doubled as appropriate. Measurements are of the individual garment itself, be sure to leave room for your body and movement as fabric is NOT stretchy! Skirt Waist: 27” Hips: 38” Overall length from top of waistband to hem: 29.25” Waistband: 1.25” Blazer Bust measured just below sleeves: 39” Waist: 31” Overall length center top of shoulder to hem: 22.5” Sleeve length shoulder seam to cuff: 19”
