Vintage 1950 Stratton Crinoline Lady Garden Scene Gold Tone Compact

Vintage Stratton powder compact featuring the romantic Crinoline Lady motif — a graceful woman in a voluminous gown strolling in a garden with floral arches and trees in the background. The gold tone lid is finely etched with the scene, while the reverse side displays a delicate star pattern. This is Stratton’s popular post-1948 convertible design with a self-opening inner lid, patented in 1948. Inside, it retains the original Stratton instructions, puff, and sifter. Measures approximately 2 3/4" in diameter. Signed inside the inner lid “Stratton” in script with crown logo, consistent with post-1948 production. Reverse is decorated with the classic Stratton starburst pattern, designed to disguise fingerprints and light wear. Made in England. Excellent vintage condition. Minimal surface wear consistent with age. Mirror is clear, hinge and clasp work smoothly. See photos for details.
