Vintage 1940's WHITING & DAVIS silver mesh evening bag

Vintage silver metal mesh bag, circa 1940’s. So beautiful. Inside is an ivory faille lining with original cloth tag “mesh Whiting & Davis Co. Bags Trade mark reg. Made in USA.” The silver metal frame has “made in U. S.” and “2898” and the “Whiting & Davis” logo. Measurements: Across bottom: 7 inches Across top: 5 inches Sides: approximately 2 inches Bag height without chain: 5 inches Condition is very good. There is minor pitting on the metal that could be buffed out. I will leave that to the next owner. There is aging to the lining that looks like soft amber. I see two missing pailettes near a fold at the bottom corner (see last photo) but the rest of the bag sparkles like nearly new. Amazing for a 75 year old bag. Any questions? Hit me up!
