Vintage 1940s Suit, Arthur Jay Yellow Linen Two Piece Skirt And Jacket

Wonderful vintage suit from the 1950s in yellow linen. Consists of a skirt and jacket. Jacket is a tailored New Look style with hip pockets and with striking double flaps. The skirt is a mild A line and has a side zipper with button at the top. Both jacket and skirt are unlined. Label reads: Arthur Jay. Extra small to small I'd say but do see measurements below. Excellent vintage condition. The only thing I spotted was a faint gray smudge at the shoulder and some graying along the bac belt edges. Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hips. Jacket: Armpit to armpit across bust: 37" Waist: 28" Shoulder to waist: 15" Shoulder to bottom hem 21.5" Skirt: Waist: 24" with a bit of room to shift the button to go up to 25" or so Hips: 36" Waist to bottom hem: 29.5" Please note: These are vintage, preworn and/or preloved items.
