This is an incredibly rare piece of Navajo silversmith artisan made, custom jewelry that’s even more STUNNING in person! Family provenance & my Navajo silversmith date this to the early 1940’s, when our Great Aunt, (a Navajo jewelry collector), had this custom made. The “liquid silver” beads pull these beautiful turquoise stones together & show them off in a classic design. There are 3 Sterling beads to every stone, for a total of 87 beads & 26 assorted turquoise gemstones. The cross is solid sterling & weighs .66 oz alone, (total weight shown in photo). The German clasp was added as a fix in the 1960’s & is very sturdy. I’ve left this in its original, unpolished state, (I’ll leave that decision to you), it would be even more stunning if cleaned up, but the patina is perfect already. Measures aprox 12.5” in length (on each side), so around 24” in all. The stunning cross is aprox 2” L & 1.5” W. The length is perfect & simply stunning. This is a rare piece you won’t find on anyone else, the turquoise is Kingman, Az mined & will garner you compliments. This is rare, custom made Navajo artisanal jewelry. Please see all photos as they are part of the item’s description & ask any questions. I’m happy to provide additional info/photos etc.
