Vintage 1940s Minature Working Brass Compass Pendant Necklace Made In Germany

These beautiful little compasses were very popular in the 1930s and 1940s and were carried in most pockets during WWII. The brass compass is 1" diameter and has GERMANY printed on its dial. The case design gives a nod to vintage pocket watches, and since the compass itself is small, I've made a solid brass chain necklace with it that measures 18-1/2" long. The brass has a soft patina that looks wonderful with the compass, but it can be polished to a high, golden shine if desired. It's a fashionable way to get where you're going!
