Vintage 1940s made an occupied Japan porcelain Asian couple. Their outfits and hairstyles imply that it is Chinese culture inspired by Japanese makers. The lady is in a seated pose and has her own bent wire chair. The chair may not be original to her because she does not fit perfectly on it. It may be helpful to place a little bottom on it for her to sit on but I'll leave that up to you. She's playing a mandolin or similar stringed instrument. The man is standing close by listening in rapt attention. Cute couple. Would make a nice gift or an untraditional wedding cake topper. Can also be given as a wedding gift, housewarming gift, engagement party decor, Valentine's Day gift.
Size: Man- 4" x 1.25" x 1.25"
Woman including chair- 4" x 2.75" x 2.25"
Condition: No chips or cracks, both are marked on bottom but the man's signature is slightly offset and hides under the glaze. Gold guilt is a little bit faded.
