Vintage 1940s Lovebird Heart Rhinestone Brooch Pin

Vintage 1940s heart-shaped brooch pin featuring two lovebirds kissing in the center, nestled on a branch with flowers. Each flower has a white rhinestone center. The tail of one bird and the flowers on the opposite side extend slightly outside the heart shape, adding dimension. The back is gold washed with a workable clasp and pin bar. During World War II, sterling silver became a popular metal for jewelry with a gold wash due to metal shortages. This brooch is likely sterling gold washed but is not stamped. Condition is good, with age scratches and minor tarnishing (see photos).
