- Vintage Measuring Cup
- by Fire King
- 1 Cup or 8 oz.
- Number 496
- Material: Glass
- Features red lettering to mark the measurements
- Based on the marks and the fact that there is no Anchor Hocking markings, my research suggests this is from between 1942 and 1948.
- It is very compact and has a different shape that the later ones.
- This will not take up a lot of space in your cupboard.
MARKS: in raised lettering on the bottom:
- 496
- T.M. REG.
- FIRE-KING
- Made in U.S.A.
- 8 oz.
- GRADUATED FOR COOKING USE ONLY
- Red markings include halves, thirds, and quarter markings
- "FIRE-KING" is marked in red below spout (see first picture)
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition. Actually remarkably good condition. No cracks or chips. I've had much newer ones that have chips on them. The red markings are not as bright as they originally were but they are still functional.
