Beautiful vintage book, "The Praise of Folly", by Desiderius Erasmus of Rotterdam, published in 1942 by Walter Black New York for The Classics Club. Includes very cool illustrations and a short life of the author by Hendrik Willem Van Loon. Light brown cloth bound cover with reddish and gold graphics and lettering. Measures about 7.5" by 5.5". 254 pages. Excellent vintage condition. Cover shows just a bit of age and life.
