Vintage 1940s Black Velvet Silk & Gold Pentagon Box Purse Art Deco Handbag

Classic elegance! Super soft velvet handbag with curved brass gold-tone accents and snap closure. Shaped like a pentagon and slightly wider at the top, it has an oval base and a wide metal frame opening. Linind in black satin, with a small slip pocket and one zippered pocket inside. Zipper inside is broken and a small rip. The handle is made of the same velvet material. One end of the handle needs some love, it’s worn - see photo. Plenty large enough for a smartphone, wallet, make-up, keys, tampons, smokes..whatever you need to carry along on that special occasion. It is in excellent vintage condition. A few minor discolorations in the lining. One rusted spot on the top accent where the gold-tone finish has worn away.
