Vintage 1940s 1950s Tartan Skirt, JC Penney Wool Worsted Highland Plaid Pleated

Utterly charming full skirt from the late 1940s or 1950s in a pastel plaid wool in an interesting X pattern. Metal zipper on the side and a button at the top. Its a full circle from the hips down. Unlined. Label reads: JC Penney Highland Plaids, 100% wool worsted. Small size, I'd say, but do see measurements below Great vintage condition. A few small holes, the largest about a large pea sized, see photos for examples, and the inner button at the waist is missing. Works and looks fine with the one still there. Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at waist and hip. Waist: 26" Hips: 39" Waist to bottom hem: 26.5" Please note: These are vintage, preworn and/or preloved items.
