Vintage 1937 The Game of ALLEY OOP Can Royal Toy Company Stephen Slesinger Litho Features: This tiddly-winks type game based on the popular 1930's and 40's comic strip caveman. The container, or can, for this game features two comic-strip like panels in beautiful full color. It was printed using a color lithography process and applied to a thick cardboard cylinder. The can base is polished tin. The cap is lithographed tinplate. The cans' front panel shows a giant hand playing the game. The rear panel shows Alley watching his cave buddy play while a mystified dino looks on. The manufacturer name and copyright date were printed along the base. Two to four players can play. Each chooses a color and gets four club-like sticks and a triangular shaped piece for flipping. All are wood. The first player to get all their sticks plus the special black one in the can wins the game. Condition: This is a vintage item in good used condition that shows wear as expected with its age.
