Late Art Deco bar pin with a domed Czech foil-flecked art-glass cabochon and garnet-red rhinestones in an openwork gold tone frame. The centerpiece is a glass cabochon with embedded metallic foil and fused color fragments, made to mimic the sparkle of opals or enameling but with its own unique look. This technique was a specialty of Czech/Bohemian glassmakers in the late Art Deco period.
