This vintage 1930s Abingdon vase features a classic Art Deco silhouette and a glossy glazed finish in a pale peach color. Bottom is stamped "Abingdon U.S.A. 312. Vase measures 5 7/8 L x 4 7/8” W at the mouth, and 6 1/8” Tall. Excellent vintage condition - no chips, cracks, or crazing. Abingdon Pottery was founded in 1934 out of the Abingdon Sanitary Manufacturing Company in Abingdon, IL. During the Great Depression the company shifted its manufacturing from plumbing products to decorative household accessories. The company changed its name to Abingdon Pottery in 1945, and between 1934 and 1950 produced over six million items in over a thousand designs and almost 150 colors. This is a 1930’s type vase in excellent condition.
