Vintage 1920's Black Velvet Art Deco Style Rhinestone Studded Sheath Dress

Gorgeous vintage 1920's handmade black empire waist sheath style evening dress made from velvet silk, with art deco style design on front bodice, and back deep V-neckline. The hand sewn design is highlighted with sparkly rhinestones with tiny red and blue beads surrounding them. Hemline has insets on either side at hem so that it flairs out. so Dress Dress does not have a zipper, but metal hook and loops, along with snaps. The straps of the deep V-necline in back have the same embroidery to the waist, but then extend down seperately as two solid velvet straps. They have metal weights sewn underneath so they lay flat. There are a few rhinestones missing from the design, there's also some damage at the back waist consisting of loose threads, thinning to the silk and small holes. I'm selling dress as is as I don't have the sewing skills needed to repair a vintage piece. Bodice measures 16 inches across, waist 12 1/2, hips 19, length 57 1/2 inches. With repairs to the slight damage at the back waist, dress could be worn carefully, otherwise it makes a stunning display piece for any collection.
