Description:
This delightful vintage Valentine postcard from 1911 features a charming cherub in a military-style hat, standing atop a large red heart pierced with cannons, holding a sword. The front includes a playful message: "To My Valentine" and "Dear: If surrender will you take me in the first?" framed by red hearts. The back contains a handwritten note: "Kind friend I am feeling fine provided I get a valentine they don't hand them down here as it is to often mail time close before this time by from another," addressed to "Mrs Maud Danner, Chariton, Iowa, R#7," with a 1-cent U.S. postage stamp postmarked "Freetown Feb 14 7PM 1911." A unique piece for collectors.
