Waist band is "deteriorating" is the best way to describe it. I am going to describe it the best I can but the first time I stretched the waist, it made cracking noises like the band on the inside was snapping over and over. The shorts are fully functional including the drawstring, but it seems the stretchy material inside the waistband has deteriorated which was probably the cracking/popping noise. You have been pre-warned now about this issue. Again the shorts are fully functional, just waist band and liner deterioration. Pre-owned condition!
