Victorian Late 1800s Large Neck Brooch

Victorian to early 20th-century brooch (late 1800s–early 1900s). Hand-painted porcelain mounted in a brass or ormolu bezel. Pansies and violets — both flowers were popular Victorian “language of flowers” symbols (pansies = remembrance, violets = modesty/love). The “C-clasp” without a safety catch suggests it is earlier, likely pre-1910. It looks to be about 2 inches tall (quite a large brooch for the time). Larger porcelain brooches were often worn at the neck or on shawls.
