This is the Rare Dahl-Jensen of Copenhagen Porcelain "Reclining German Shepherd Dog; the company went out of business in the 1970's. D-J was known for realistic details and subtle patina and this piece is no exception; particularly noticeable are craftsmanship of the teeth/muzzle. patina. Perfect condition! No scratches, cracks. Hallmark and artisan's initials-- who hand-painted this piece-- are clear and unmarked on base. Beautiful collectible for lovers of Danish Porcelain and in particular those who have known and love/loved a German Shepherd!
