This is because dye may leave the shorts when washed. This is supposed to give a vintage worn look to the shorts. However, these shorts look to have transferred dye in an uneven way. The front has two shades to it. This didn't bother me, but it may bother you. Which is why I'm pointing it out. Please see photos.
