This vintage Vernonware serving bowl comes from the Tam O’Shanter pattern, one of the classic plaid designs created by Vernon Kilns of California in the 1940s–1950s. Tam O’Shanter features bold brushstrokes of green and russet-orange against a cream background, applied under the glaze by hand — no two pieces are exactly alike.
