The top pocket has small pouches, and mesh pockets. The bottom pocket has 2 zippered areas, the top on is just an open pocket and the back opening expands with interior flaps. There are 2 zipper compartments with zipper closures that go almost all the way around the bag. The first pocket is shallow and has a mesh pocket on the flap.
