Excellent pair of old Skool vans lightly used with minor signs of usage along the shoe. The Vans Old Skool x Disney 'Scrapbook' VN0005UFBMB is a collaborative shoe released as part of the Disney x Vans "100 Years of Disney" Collection, celebrating Disney's 100th anniversary. Design inspiration The 'Scrapbook' design was inspired by a nostalgic, scrapbook-like collage featuring various Disney families and characters in polaroid-style photos across the shoe's upper, according to Baggins Shoes. Characters featured include Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Elsa, Lilo and Stitch, Moana, and characters from Princess and the Frog. Materials and construction Upper: The shoe features a durable canvas upper, padded tongue, and lining. Sole: It includes Vans' signature waffle outsole made from vulcanized rubber, which provides grip and flexibility. Construction process: Like other Vans shoes, the 'Scrapbook' Old Skool is made using a five-step vulcanized construction process: Rubber Room: Raw rubber is cured and compressed to form the waffle sole. Sole Cutting: The compressed rubber is cut into the shape of the outsole. Waffle Press: The sole is pressed into a criss-cross shape to create the iconic waffle pattern. Assembly: The canvas upper is stitched onto a mould, and details like the "jazz stripe" and foxing tape are applied. Final Bake: The shoe is lacquered and then heated in a vulcanizing oven to harden it and complete its construction.
