Vans Sk8-Hi It all began in 1978, when Paul Van Doren wanted to create a similar model to the iconic #36, known today as Vans Old Skool. His goal was to design a functional and high-top shoe that will suit all skateboarders and that will provide a whole new point of view. He succeeded and introduced a new model #38, known as Vans Sk8-Hi, which celebrates its 40th birthday this year! Of course he didn´t forget the legendary sidestripe.
