Van Cort Victorian Viewing Jar

EUC. A glass viewing jar made by Van Cort Instruments. Van Cort called this their "Victorian Viewing Jar" as the design was inspired by the popular Victorian Era amusement to examine small items inside with the magnifier lens. Featuring a solid brass base, brass eyepiece, and blown glass body. The ground glass lens magnifies the objects inside at a 3x power. The viewer comes with its original seashells stored inside, but objects can be interchanged by unscrewing the eyepiece. These are popular to view a variety of tiny findings such as stones, glass, and even insects. Approximate Measurements: SIZE: 3.5" H; 1.5" Diameter.
