Van Briggle Pottery of Colorado Springs, Colorado is one of the great classic American pottery manufacturers. Founded by Artus and Anne Van Briggle in 1901 after Artus made a name for himself at Rookwood Pottery, the Van Briggle Studio had a major impact on the Art Nouveau movement. The studio closed in 2012. This piece has been well cared for and has mo chips or cracks. Crazing does appear in the glaze.
