This beautiful Van Briggle bowl or planter is in excellent condition. It is in Van Briggle's signature Turquoise Ming matte glaze with dark blue dusting.
The bowl/planter has been known by several names: Tulip, Lotus Leaf, Leaf Swirl, Philodendron Leaf, and even Flame.
The bottom of the piece bears the conjoined "A" mark for Artus and Anne Van Briggle. It is also marked "Van Briggle Colo. Spgs. HVM, II." The initials HVM stand for Hilde Manuszak who was an Etcher, or Finisher, at Van Briggle between 1988-2002. The Roman Numeral II represent the Glaze Sprayer Martha Oliver who worked at Van Briggle from 1970-2006.
The bowl measures approximately 5 1/4" tall and 6 1/2" in diameter.
