It is not an open back, but the one photo shows the opening in the back just to give a sense for depth of the back opening. There are multiple Velcro tabs to close the back. Pre-owned; worn once. Pit to pit: 17.5 inches Length: roughly 54 inches from shoulder; the satin inset on the front is a few inches shorter Sleeves: roughly 21 inches, not including the drape that hangs from the wrist.
