VTG Mid-Century Gold Long Stem Rose Brooch

Lovely though unmarked long stemmed rose in gold tone. Beautiful etched detail in the leaves. The rose itself is in matte gold tone with shiny petal edges. The stem and leaf curving together in graceful arcs. Mid-century - 50’s or 60’s based on the length of the pin. These were very popular mid-century, and most name jewelry makers had their own version - based on the concept of the Snow Rose, Rose of Christ, or Christmas Rose - a rose that blooms in snowy mountains on Christmas Eve. Excellent vintage condition - mild wear to the matte finish in accordance with 60+ year age but remains graceful and striking. Measures just slightly over 3” long by 1” wide.
