VTG Women's 40s Blue 2 Piece Top & Skirt Set 1940s Dress Suit Peplum Outfit

Stunning vintage 1940’s skirt and blouse skirt set. Fabric is a French/periwinkle blue moire. It’s almost iridescent in what feels like a silk or rayon. Top is amazing! It has a crewneck line, little shoulder pads and 3/4 length sleeves. It’s fitted through waist with seams and darts and then at waist flares out to a graceful peplum. There are two open front pockets with a mother of pearl button on each. This buttons up in back with blue buttons and it ties in back at the waist. Matching skirt is a straight style skirt. It zips and buttons at the side waist. It looks like the hem has been let out about 2”. This could be re-hemmed or left as it doesn’t really detract from the look. This is in excellent condition. There is what looks like a surface spot (see photos) on the blouse but otherwise it’s got no holes or tears.
