VTG Thomas Bavaria J.O'B. Decorative Small Plate -Blue w/Gold Trim - Lusterware

J.O'B. Lusterware Decorative Small Plate with Gold Trim. Porzellanfabrik Thomas & Ens was the company name of 'Thomas Bavaria’ at the beginning. The business was later took over by the Rosenthal group. Based on research, the business years seem to be 1903 ~ 1970s. Thomas Bavaria porcelain is known for having delicate looks & "softer" in color. This plate is no exception for having these tendencies. The light, soft colors on the inside of the plate is similar to the inside of a seashell. This 'pearly sheen' is called "lusterware". The plate also has a thick, gilded trim which appears to be hand painted since there are inconsistencies to the gilded shapes that were painted on. The back mark appears to be stamped in a seafoam color: "Thomas Bavaria J.O'B." Approximate Dimensions: 6" x 6" Flaws: There are some small flecks on the front of the plate which could be a result of the processing...please check the photos. Smoke/Pet Free
