💰VTG Steve McVey Sun Tile

This is such a striking work of art. Sun Tiles were created in the Southwest by artist, Steve McVey. He begins with clay and transforms it to a Sun Tile like this one. He hand paints each piece, many in the vibrant colors of the Southwest. The Sun Tile serves many functions like a wall hanging, a trivet, coasters, etc. There is cork board on the bottom to use it as a trivet and a hanger for putting it on walls. This particular tile depicts the Southwest desert and mountains. There is sand, a sky, a beautiful sun, and three people gazing at the scene. The simplicity of the scene matched with the gorgeous colors make it a masterpiece! Please just be aware that there is a small scratch (see bottom of woman in the darker red) on it.
