VTG St Rita Plaster Columbia Statue Figure Patron of Impossible Causes ITALY

Vintage, possibly antique, statue of St Therese de Lisieux, the "Little Flower," who is now honored as a Doctor of the Church. Depicted with a cross and a crown of roses, a reference to her famous promise, “After my death, I will let fall a shower of roses.” This hand painted plaster figure stands 11.5" tall and has the artist's initials on the base in back. It has a good deal of weight to it. Statue is in good vintage condition with some small spots of paint loss, to touch up or leave in as-is. Smoke free, pet free
