Incredibly unique and beautiful! Vintage 100% pure new wool cardigan sweater by Danish brand Runox Scandia Strik. Cream colored crew, round neckline with dark green and dark teal fair isle box or snowflake pattern within vertical, thick stripes. Pewter, round buttons with basketweave and floral design. Inspired by Norwegian and Icelandic fair isle knitting traditions and made with durable, heavyweight Scandinavian wool, these sweaters were made in Denmark and are similar to brands like Dale of Norway or Skappel. This sweater appears to be handmade. See photos of hand-sewn, slightly imperfect seams. :) This sweater appears to have been made in the 1970's - 1980's based on the tag design, font style and manufacturing label. "1297 DE 73" suggests a 1973 production or model code. The size is not listed, but based on measurements, it appears to be a Men's Medium or Women's Large (unisex fit). Width pit to pit - 22 1/4" Length shoulder to hem - 26 3/4" Sleeve length, shoulder seam to cuff - 21" Flaw: Buttons are slightly loose and could be reinforced, but they are all attached and functional.
