VTG Reverse Painted Rock Crystal Brooch Scotty Dogs Walking Stick

Vintage reverse painted rock crystal brooch in the form of a walking stick with a pair of painted scotty dogs. The brooch is in good vintage condition with light wear to the gold tone finish. Essex Crystal, and mother of pearl hunt whip and dog brooch. Essex crystal, also known as reverse intaglio, were popularized in the Victorian era into the Edwardian era. The reverse intaglio were originally made from rock crystal cabochon that had been carved on the flat back side, where an image is carved in reverse and hand painted. 2.5” long. Enjoy this rare find!
