Vintage Native American intarsia inlay heishi pendant necklace with beautiful natural inlaid stones with brown heishi shell beads and gold-tone round accent beads. Intarsia is an intricate jewelry technique that involves cutting and fitting together small, polished pieces of different stones and metals to create a mosaic-like image or pattern. The pieces are carefully shaped and glued into a solid backing, then polished to a smooth, flush surface, resulting in a one-of-a-kind design that resembles a puzzle. Necklace is reversible – backside also a beautiful stone. Necklace measures 16” with screw closure. Pendant measures 1 ½” long. In very good pre-owned condition.
