VTG 'NV' Ring with Orange/Brown Gemstone (possibly Imperial Topaz color) Size 8

VTG 'NV' (Most likely an AVON Brand Ring) Ring with Orange/Brown Gemstone (possible Imperial Topaz color) Size 8 The Ring is preowned. It is missing the adjustable interior band that new rings like this have. It is size 8. The gold on the band and around the head of the ring appears to be worn off in places. That makes me believe this ring is silver (silver-tone) with a gold coating. NOTE: Others are listing the ring as gold over silver on this site and other selling sites on the internet. The ring has been washed in an ultrasonic cleaner. The head of the ring measures approximately 1" in length and 5/8" wide. UNDER SIDE OF RING IS STAMPED WITH: ‘NV’. NV may stand for Nevada Jewelry Co. or could be another brand. (See Disclaimer below). NOTE: There are no AVON markings in the ring. On other selling sites the ring is listed as AVON. The original owner sold Avon for many decades, That is why I believe this ring is a vintage Avon ring.
