VTG Dark Amethyst Blown Glass Trunk Up for Good Luck Elephant Paperweight 4.75" This adorable elephant paperweight is a symbol of good luck with his trunk high up in the air. When an elephant's trunk is held up, it symbolizes good luck, prosperity, authority, & achievement in various cultures & traditions like Feng Shui & Vastu Shastra. This elephant is made of blown glass in a deep amethyst color that appears black, except when lit from behind. It is quite heavy for its size. The bottom of the elephant is flat & polished. There are no markings found. The elephant is somewhat abstract & except for the trunk & ears, only a small spot for a mouth & tail is noted. The piece measures approx. 4.75" tall, 3" long & 2.5" wide. The piece is in beautiful condition with no flaws except at the polished bottom which has a very slightly roughened edge in one small spot & what appears to be a small superficial scratch on the glass.
