VTG "Bits of Old England" Luncheon Plates 4-Pc Set ~ Vernon Kilns ~ Nos. 1,2,4,8

Vintage four-piece luncheon plate set by Vernon Kilns featuring Old English scenes. The set includes plates numbered 1, 2, 4, 8 from the "Bits of Old England" collection. The "Maker's Mark", including Plate Number, is printed on the reverse of each plate: "Bits of Old England" DESIGNED, ENGRAVED AND COPYRIGHTED BY VERNON KILNS U.S.A. Each plate is trimmed with a burgundy ring. The scene on each plate includes areas of muted color on a cream background. Plate Diameter: 8.5" Plate Depth: 7/8" Weight, Set 4 Plates: 2 Lbs., 11 Oz. CONDITION: Good Vintage Condition (No Chips, No Cracks, No Crazing of Glaze Observed) (Minor imperfections present in the ceramic &/or glaze from manufacturing process not considered damage) Plate No. 1 has a couple of scratches on the front that can be felt with fingernail. (Not sure if these were from manufacturing or possibly from use of a knife.) Plate No. 2 has a small area on the back that was not glazed.
