These were popular in the 1960’s, and were made in Germany, and many other European countries had their own versions, including Scandinavia and The Netherlands, among others. There are also salt and pepper shakers in the same style and with the same colors, in fact they are almost exactly like these, this is how I identified them. I could not find any other egg cups in this exact style and pattern, which may mean these are very rare. Please research them if you are thinking of collecting. The size of the cup is quite small, but will hold a small egg, although, I imagine that not many are being used today and that these are just for collecting. **The boy has a flaw in the back of the hat rim. It may have been a flaw during manufacturing or damage that happened later. I thought it best to leave it as is. Price is ‘as is.’
