VTG Ashtray by Lapid Pottery Israel Abstract Hand Painted Ash Tray Bowl #424 MCM

Lovely Lapid Pottery cigar or cigarette ashtray made in Israel. It is hard to see in the photos but the border of the tray is a pretty olive green tone, the design on the bowl of the piece is blackish. Lapid Pottery was in business from the 1940s until 1990 so it is at least that old, being an ashtray I am guessing it is older than that. Lapid pottery was designed with Scandinavian influences and hand painted so each piece is unique, most of the artists were women. Size: 5.5" w x 2" h Keats said "A thing of beauty is a joy forever".
