Beautiful enamel trinket box made by Crummles & Co., an English company. The box says "Mother" on the lid in a beautiful script, surrounded by a bird on a branch. There are bluebells, apple blossoms, daffodils and willows as well as a yellow butterfly. The sides are a deep shade of pink. Inside is a farm scene. It show men bringing in the hay and a woman bringing water, perhaps her husband and sons. Purchased this at Gump's in San Francisco approximately 40 years ago. Perfect holiday gift for mom to keep rings or mementos in. Measurements: about 2.25 in diameter x 1.3 inch tall.
