Beautiful Depression Era Heirloom 8-Point Lone Star Quilt. A palate of muted nuetrals, including Peach, Pink, Golden Tan and White. One large 8-point lone star in the middle with a Peach border and White backside. Intricate hand-quilting in a laborious pattern that is not easy to do. Lightweight feel, very soft. Gifted originally in 1932 and then passed down in 1975. Just beautiful!!
Overall, really good condition for the age! The quilt has some small spots, some mild yellowing/discoloration, especially near the edges and several pinholes. Some of the batting has migrated more to the corners, but it doesn’t stand out much. Some of the fabric has fading, especially around the border. Very nice for use or as a wall display.
Quilt measures approx 76” x 82”
