VTG 1980s Japan Porcelain Penguin Paperweight Tapestry Collection 24K Gold Trim

For your consideration is this vintage decorated Porcelain Penguin Paperweight imported from Japan by Action Industries, Inc. (MPN: 25512) An old sold comp provided photos of this piece in the original packaging. The packaged comp indicated this Penguin was part of their Tapestry Collection. The copyright year indicated was 1987, but seller was unable to find the associated copyright through the public records search...likely because it was made so very similar to Royal Doulton's version. The figurine is decorated in lovely rust and navy blue and trimmed in 24 Karat Gold. The gold was applied over the glaze. There is a stopper on the bottom allowing for the piece to be filled for added weight. It measures 2.4 inches long x 2.5 inches wide x 5 inches, and weighs 5 ounces. This lovely collectible showcases intricate details and craftsmanship, perfect for any bird of penguin enthusiast's collection. Condition: Very small amount of applied gold loss on beak observed.
