VTG 1970s Gunne Sax by Jessica Burgundy Velvet Renaissance Revival Dress Pearl

Preowned. Clean, gently worn. Very nice vintage condition. Some discoloration of the ivory trim in areas and a small tear above the zipper. Amazing and rare early-era Gunne Sax by Jessica (San Francisco) dress dating to the early 1970s. Crafted in a rich burgundy velvet, this dress captures the Renaissance Revival aesthetic that defined Jessica McClintock’s earliest designs. Soft structured velvet with a romantic drape. Cream satin and lace trim with delicate faux-pearl button accents. V-neckline and fitted bodice, long sleeves, ties in back, partial back zip closure. Side pockets!! Size: hard to read due to fading, but I believe tag says 5. Perhaps a modern size US Small or XS | US 2-4.
