VTG 1940s Carl-Art Sterling Amethyst & Tulips Circle Brooch/Pendant, 1" W; wt- 4 grams Vintage mid-century Carl-Art Sterling Silver Amethyst & Tulips Round Brooch/Pendant, 1" W; wt- 4 gr. Featuring two concentric circles and a center swirl, adorned with two draping tulip blossoms at the top, this brooch is highlighted with a round faceted Ameythyst to one side. I think it's possible to wear this brooch as a pendant since the tulips at the top have a rounded opening which could accommodate a necklace/chain. Carl-Art Inc. manufactured jewelry from c.1943 – c.1950 in Providence RI, so this brooch is from that period. The reverse of the brooch is stamped with Carl-Art's signature logo, the initials CA with an arrow through them. It is also stamped Sterling. The clasp mechanism is in good working order. The front of the brooch has some minor rubs and scratches consistent with age and use, but I don't think they detract from the overall look of the pin.
