VIntage Fiesta 5 1/2" Fruit Bowl in Original light green

Circa 1936-1951: The 5 1/2" version of the classic Vintage Fiesta® bowl shape is found on the larger eight and nine inch nappies and the smaller berry bowls. The bowls are a delight and celebrate the famous Fiesta concentric rings, inside the bottom, around the inside and outside edges, top to bottom. This example in the original light green glaze is in good condition, with normal signs of use , with a nice glaze and well defined rings. Measures 5 1/2" w × 1 3/4” h The 5 1/2 sized fruit bowl was part of the original line introduced in 1936. The clay body would have been pressed in a mold and rapidly spun on the jiggering machine while being tooled by hand, creating the concentric bands of rings on the inside. Bowls were bisque fired, then fully glazed and placed on sagger pins in the kiln to be fired a 2nd time.
