He built a factory right on his farm! This aluminum was considered to be high-quality and very desirable. Their operations were curtailed with the onset of World War I and the subsequent need for metal during the war effort. So,this roasting pan is a notable piece of history! It is very heavy pan and lid, weighs 6 lbs. 3 oz. People used to use these because many households did not have an oven in the 1930s. It has a valve on the lid, used for venting and controlling the temperature inside the pot . The pan is in good shape still nice and shiny. A collectible item.
