First edition in English of this pop-up fairy tale classic, with eight wonderful pop-up illustrations and numerous moveables. Czech paper artist Vojtech Kubasta is regarded as one of the pre-eminent creators of children's pop-up books. His books, often fairy tale- and nativity-themed, feature unique layered paper engineering that allows for multi-level pop-ups and integrated tabbed moveables. Thus, his pop-ups are independently capable of telling an entire story through illustration and movement. A few tiny closed tears at edges of moveables as usual, but all fully functional with no repairs, slightest rubbing to extremities, faint dampstaining to cloth spine.
